Alone in Public

Wendy White is a visual artist whose work encompasses painting, sculpture, and installation and often references symbols and iconography of contemporary advertising, branding, American pop culture, and twentieth-century art history. Through juxtaposing gestural mark-making and fabricated elements, White uses sculptural and spatial interventions to defy and expand the boxed-in limitations of the traditional canvas.
